Disappointing to say the least. I think as well as not being Marmitey enough are too sweet. Not even nice with a slab of cheese on. A good concept, but needs developing.

Really bad. I'm crazy about Marmite, but these didn't work for me, or any of the co-workers I tried to give them to.
Like a cross between an Oxo cube and a dog biscuit.
I agree with a comment above - Marmite and sweet es no bueno.
Where can I get the big cheese truckles from?! Anyone?

marmitarian:Hmm ...I'm not totally sure about these cereal bars. The idea is fab for a quick Marmitey snack but they don't really deliver on taste. They just taste like raw porridge oats stuck together with a little bit of Marmite. If they were a little more Marmitey to cover the taste of the oats they'd be nice. Or even Cheese or something on the Marmite cereal bars just to give it the something it needs.
Seriously, if you've bought some and don't like 'em ...They are really nice if you spread on an extra bit of Marmite, sprinkle it with a bit of grated cheese and grill it!! Yum!!

Was given a free sample at Clapham station months ago and been searching for them ever since! Please Sainsburys and Tescos Chiswick - do the right thing and hurry up about it! Carolyn

These take a while (and a few bars!) to grow on you. Really need much more Marmite flavour.

These are the first marmite product I haven't loved. Horrible idea. Sory.

Today my dream has been realised! A savoury on the go snack, and MARMITE one at that! So happy! I can understand the negatives people have mentioned but its a SAVOURY snack thats not crisps and nuts. Its a snacking revolution and a magical moment of Marmite genius. I aim to 'spread' the word the Marmite gods have bestowed. Amen! Can I hear an Amen?!
Oh and with a couple of cherry tomatoes at the same time goodness gracious me

I tried my first Marmite chewy bar today, as a regular cereal bar consumer I was quite excited about these mysteriously dark wrapped treats, I was very disappointed, a little dry and lacked the sticky Marmite taste I was hoping for :-(

I recently purchased a box of the marmite chewy bars and was scared to try them at first...
I think the problem with people not liking them are, it doesnt feel right, you wouldnt see my pouring marmite on my cereal and milk, thats the only problem with these, if they where covered in a thin layer of cheese or hard marmite they would cover up the cerealness and will probably go down better! but yeah.. dunking them in marmite definetly tasted better, they just need abit more flavour tbh.

Having been raised on Marmite, (with toast & dripping-lush), thought I'd give these cereal a bars a go. Gotta be the most awful disgusting thing I've EVER tasted! 4 generations, from my 91yr old mum down to my 7yr old grandson, all thought the same too! Just leave it alone-it doesn't need re-inventing.

Just joined fan club and as a lifelong lover of Marmite I must say the chewy bars are absolutely awful. Did a survey at work and all Marmite lovers agreed.
It's a shame.

Hi gang - new poster here!
I tried the new cereal bars and frankly I was disappointed. I thnk I got a defective box because it said it contained a "hefty punch" of Marmite but I couldn't find it anywhere.
Instead, I got my grubby mitts on a jar of the new Marmite XO and spread a dollop of that on top of the cereal bar. Now *that* is what I call a proper punch.
