This is the best - Toasted Brown bread, butter, Marmite, - slice a banana and lay it on top, then grind a little black pepper on top....it is really really lovely.

Hi all, I know this is under a sandwich type thread but there's nowhere here for recipies that I can find... (maybe we can have one please??)
Anyway, just thought that we should get out some our Marmite creations and recipies for sharing and inspiration to us all!
I have tried a few things and came up with Marmite MIstresses! They are a simple biscuit recipe, substituting the margarine (fat) for cheese and adding a good dollop of Marmite then before the biscuits go into the oven, mix Marmite with a little boiling water, brush over the biscuits and then top with a finely grated cheddar... the Mistresses bit comes from the shape of the cutter used to make the biscuit shapes.... mmmmm!
There are (as you will no doubt know!) Marmite biscuit products available at Supermarkets but with this you can control the 'potency' of your Marmite hit! hee hee! :)

It has to be marmite and peanut butter, but the peanut has to be organic and crunchy and the bread has to be malted brown or if it's toast then thick white. Marmite and lettuce in white bread and butter is really good too...

You should really try a Cheese and Marmite sandwich but with the added bonus of the top slice of bread having a thick layer of peanut butter ??? combination really works : )

I love - lightly toasted white bread (tiger breads the best), with a lovely silky lining of proper butter. A good spreading of marmite on one side, layer 2 sliced tomatoes and basil leaves and top with the other slice - perfect combination! x
