chrisb:It has to be marmite and peanut butter, but the peanut has to be organic and crunchy and the bread has to be malted brown too...

Not so much a new recipe as a method of preparation.
Use sliced bread and make Marmite sarnie as desired. Then wrap in clingfilm place in a rucsac preferably where it is warmest. Go walking , find a rest stop that inspires an inner calm, rummage around for sarnies. By now they should be squashed and warm. The marmite will have soaked into the bread.
Absolutely divine. If you are unable to go for a walk then squash sarnie by hand sit back in a comfortable chair and dream of your favourite place. Almost as good

I was going to try Marmite and honey, but after I had Marmited the bread, discovered we had no honey.
So now I can report that Marmite with lemon curd and Marmite with kumquat marmalade are both delicious.
Also, ***oked muikku on Marmite toast, with a shot of chilled vodka, are superb. Pity muikku (vendace) are extinct in Britain.

make up a bowl of porridge with water, and then instead of sugar or jam or honey add a large helping of heaven in a jar, AKA marmite. it also works if you make your porridge with milk, just tastes better with water. i've been eating it for years.

Try crusty bread, a buttery spread, Marmite and loads of watercress, these sandwiches must be eaten with either a plate of winkles or prawns, I,m sixty seven and have been eating this combination since I was a little girl.

I like to mix marmite with macaroni & cheese, bacon bits, and just a tiny bit of habanero pepper sauce. It just makes it all the more unhealthy tasting, which is to say delicious.

MJLawson1:I want to get a feel of what are other peoples crazy marmite combinations. Two reason really, one to get a great amount of inspiration, two to make me feel less weird. :) My all time favour is Marmite and Jam mixed together (its like sweet and sour) mmmm! I have also tried marmite on a banana which was quite nice but not as good as my alltime favourite.
Mine is anything without marmite

I love natural cottage cheese with Marmite - The Marmite flavours the cottage cheese and makes a really satisfying sandwich
