OK, you're all wrong! I can't quite decide between my two faves, so I'm just going to list them both. So there!
1. Thick white toast, with lashings of butter and a generous scraping of the brown stuff (natch), topped with...scrambled eggs. Truly, it is heavenly
2. White marmite toast as above, topped with sliced tomatoes and chopped spring onions, then lightly grilled. If you're feeling very decadent, finish with a poached egg. Not sure why this works so well, probably the sweetness of the tomatoes and onions against the saltiness of the marmite, all balanced by the creamy egg and squidgy toast. Yummmm.
This is making me sooo hungry!

i like getting an ordinary jar of marmite, and then getting my favourite packet of ready salted crisps and quite simply and literally dunking the crisps in the jar and eating them :):)

I'm sorry but you are all wrong!, the best feel good marmite recipe is Marmite on fresh extra thick cut bread, with cheese and onion crisps. But the melted cheese on toast with marmite is a close second.

You haven't lived until you have tried this.
Toasted crumpets, spread with Marmite (of course) and topped with peanut butter. Trust me this is the yummiest thing that will ever hit your tummy. And it sorts your day out too! Plus it takes into account my twin obsessions, marmite and peanut butter (crunchy, Whole Earth, if anyone is remotely interested).

My favourite favourite comfort food when I have had a bad day, is burn't toast and marmite. The toast has got to be in the toaster until it is nearly on fire, then use a scraping of margarine, and a large dollop of Marmite.
My other favourites are:
Jacket potato with marmite
toast with marmite and tinned spaghetti
good old marmite sandwiches with a little watercress
Marmite crisp sandwich with grated cheese in.
Boiled egg, and marmite soldiers
whats your favourite marmitey treat?
